Thirty-seven years of a Brazilian journey.

Frota Brasil is a Brazilian fan club for science fiction, science and fantasy — on the air since 1989, and the direct heir of Frota Estelar Brasil (Starfleet Brazil).

Frota Brasil is the direct heir of Frota Estelar Brasil (Starfleet Brazil), founded on June 3, 1989 at Cine Clube Bixiga, in São Paulo. Over more than three decades we have held 134 conventions — 9 of them international — reaching more than 20,000 crew members and guests who shaped generations of Brazilian fans.

Between 1996 and 2003 we hosted George Takei (Sulu), Walter Koenig (Chekov) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock) at Anhembi, filling all 1,400 seats every time. In 2018 the fleet was reactivated with the official launch of NovaFrota at MIS, São Paulo, widening the scope to science fiction, science and fantasy.

In 2026 the fleet returns to orbit and takes the name Frota Brasil. New website, new magazine, new convention. The same crew, ready for a new decade of Brazilian fandom.
